16-year-old shot at TJ Maxx

A 16-year-old boy was shot on Monday night on the South Side of San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department. The incident occurred near a TJ Maxx warehouse, and the boy was able to drive home after being shot in the hip by two unknown men. He was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center and is currently in “fair” condition. The police are investigating the incident and trying to locate the suspects.

San Antonio police officers received a call around 11:15 p.m. on Monday night about a person who had been wounded in the 700 block of Mizuno Way, near Pleasanton Road and Mitchell Lake. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, reported that he had been shot in the hip by two unknown men near a TJ Maxx warehouse. He was able to get away and drive home before being taken to Brooke Army Medical Center for his injuries.

At last check, the boy was listed in “fair” condition. The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all responded to the call. Investigators are now trying to pinpoint an exact crime scene and find the two suspects involved. The motive for the shooting is not currently known.
