4 Friends Go Missing Before Multiple Human Remains Were Found In River

Police find multiple human remains in Oklahoma river amid search for 4 missing men – ABC News.

Four close friends were last seen leaving their homes in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, riding bicycles around 8 p.m. Sunday. Their spouses reported them missing the following day when they never came home.

Okmulgee police chief Joe Prentice said on Friday that they found multiple human remains in the river near the bridge that goes across Sharp Road. The families of the four missing men were notified, but it has not been confirmed whose remains were found.

Police found “multiple” remains in the river, but it’s difficult to determine the amount because they are all in the river. Once police finish canvassing the area, they will know more.

The Okmulgee Police Department told news sources that they have nothing further to add at this time regarding the missing men due to pending investigations.

Two men were reported missing by their spouses, and Stevens’ mother contacted authorities a few hours later. Police gathered video and GPS information and followed up on potential sightings, but were unable to confirm any reported sightings.

Family friends said they are assuming the worst, even though the remains haven’t been positively identified yet. In addition, investigators have not seen any bicycles at the scene where the remains were found.
