The young boy, who was described by peers as well-liked and popular, was found inside a residence after police received a call at approximately 2:42 p.m. about someone suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators have confirmed that the boy was a student at South Lake Middle School. At the time of the incident, he and another friend were visiting a third boy at a home in Irvine.
