Amazon Delivery Driver Killed In Suspected Dog Attack

Dog Attack

An Amazon delivery driver was found dead Monday night after a suspected animal attack, according to the Ray County Sheriff’s Office.

After responding to a call about an Amazon truck parked in front of a house off Highway O, In Ray County, Missouri, for several hours deputies discovered a deceased driver in the yard that had been attacked.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim had injuries consistent with an animal attack, and aggressive dogs were spotted at the scene.

“Given the nature of some of the injuries to the male driver, we cannot confirm or deny if they caused the death of the driver, yet we wanted to be safe,” Sheriff Scott Childers said.

The sheriff’s department shot one dog, which entered through a dog door, and the fire department reported hearing dogs inside and observing blood on the dog door.

Two other officers went inside the house and killed the dogs with the sheriff.

Currently, the sheriff’s office cannot confirm if the dogs caused the death, but they were aggressive toward their personnel.

Amazon said “they’re looking into this horrible tragedy and will work with law enforcement as they continue to investigate.”
