Amazon driver stabbed

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – In a startling incident that has left a usually peaceful neighborhood on edge, an Amazon delivery driver was stabbed during his route on Saturday evening. The attack occurred just before 7:40 p.m. in the 1100 block of Northwest 10th Terrace, according to local authorities.

The driver was in the midst of delivering packages when a man in a white hooded sweater approached him. The assailant brandished a knife and, under circumstances that remain unclear, stabbed the driver, leaving him with serious injuries. The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.

Neighbors in the area reported a significant police presence following the attack. “I saw the Amazon truck with its hazard lights on, then the police arrived,” recounted a local resident. “It’s concerning because nothing like this usually happens around here. It’s a friendly neighborhood.”

Police cordoned off the street for several hours as they conducted their investigation and began the search for the attacker. The motive behind the stabbing is still unknown, and it remains unclear whether the perpetrator took anything from the driver or his vehicle.

Residents expressed their shock at the incident, describing the area as typically quiet and safe, mostly populated by families and children playing outside. “It’s unsettling to know something like this could happen here,” another neighbor remarked.

Amazon has stated its full cooperation with law enforcement as the investigation unfolds. The company is urging anyone with information that might aid the police to come forward.

For those with potential leads, authorities have requested contact with Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. As the search for the suspect continues, the community remains vigilant, hoping for a swift resolution and a safe recovery for the injured driver.
