London, UK – Fans of the zombie-horror genre are eagerly awaiting the release of Danny Boyle’s long-anticipated film, 28 Years Later. A second trailer has recently been unveiled, giving viewers a glimpse into the post-apocalyptic world of a UK overrun by the infected undead. The movie, co-written by Alex Garland and directed by Boyle, serves as the first of two sequels in the franchise.
The official synopsis of the film describes a society still reeling from the escape of a rage virus from a biological weapons laboratory nearly three decades ago. Despite being under strict quarantine, some survivors have managed to carve out a living among the infected. A group of people resides on a small island linked to the mainland by a heavily-guarded causeway. When one of their own embarks on a mission to explore the mainland, he uncovers dark secrets and mutations that have transformed both the infected and other survivors.
The star-studded cast of 28 Years Later includes Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes.
