Houston, Texas – Chris Brown faces a $50 million lawsuit for an incident that occurred backstage at one of his concerts. The lawsuit was filed by Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell in Harris County, Texas, against Brown and his tour promoter Live Nation, Sinko Ceej, Hood Boss, and Yella Beezy. Apart from seeking payment, the plaintiffs are also requesting a temporary restraining order against all defendants.
The complaint alleges that Brown and his crew brutally attacked the plaintiffs after his performance as part of the 11:11 Tour at Dickies Arena in Ft. Worth, Texas. The four men had been invited backstage to meet Brown, who arrived 30 minutes late. Following a confrontation between Bush and Brown, the lawsuit claims that Brown and several members of his entourage physically assaulted the plaintiffs. The suit further alleges that Hood Boss threw a chair at Bush’s head during the altercation.
According to the lawsuit, Parker, Powell, and Lewis were also targeted by Brown and his crew. Parker tried to escape but was caught and subjected to a prolonged attack. Powell and Lewis were also physically assaulted, leading to injuries that required medical treatment. Representatives for Brown, Beezy, and Live Nation have not responded to requests for comment.
The plaintiffs’ attorney, Tony Buzbee, condemned the incident, vowing to pursue maximum damages for the “egregious conduct.” This lawsuit adds to a series of legal issues involving Brown, including previous allegations of violent behavior. Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in 2009 and was involved in altercations with Drake in 2012. He has also faced lawsuits from former associates and restraining orders from ex-partners.
