Bride-to-be brutally assaulted on her night out during bachelorette trip

DALLAS, TX – A celebratory weekend in Dallas turned into a nightmare for a bride-to-be from Oklahoma when she was the victim of a violent and unprovoked attack in the city’s bustling Deep Ellum district. Canada Rinaldi, who was in town for her bachelorette party, was assaulted early Sunday morning while leaving a nightclub with friends.

Rinaldi, who is set to marry on April 26, recounted the weekend as one filled with joy and anticipation. The group had enjoyed a boat ride, brunch, and a night out before the incident shattered their plans. “I was doing everything to be the best version of myself for the wedding,” Rinaldi shared, reflecting on how the attack has impacted her preparations.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on Floyd Street, where Rinaldi and her six companions were about to get into an Uber. According to Rinaldi’s future aunt-in-law, the assailant appeared out of nowhere, striking Rinaldi and knocking her unconscious. In the chaos, the attacker also injured Rinaldi’s relative, leaving her with a black eye and a swollen face.

Rinaldi was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, including a broken nose, three broken teeth, and eight stitches on her forehead. The attack left her in shock, struggling to reconcile her reflection with the memories of the weekend. “It’s hard to believe when I look at myself,” she expressed.

Despite the severity of the attack, the suspect managed to flee the scene. Dallas police were alerted and initiated an investigation, confirming that two victims were assaulted by an unknown individual. The attacker was reportedly captured on dash camera footage, though no arrests have been made.

The community and Rinaldi’s loved ones are urging for justice. “We need him to be arrested,” her future aunt-in-law insisted. “It’s not fair that it happened to her, and we hope he is caught to prevent it from happening to anyone else.”

Rinaldi, now back in Oklahoma, is focusing on recovery and is grateful for the support she has received. The traumatic experience has overshadowed what was meant to be a joyous occasion, but she remains hopeful for a resolution and a safe future for others.
