Chicago Chefs and Restaurants Make Finalists List for James Beard Awards, including Kumiko and Galit – See Who Made the Cut!

Chicago, Illinois – The James Beard Foundation revealed the finalists for its esteemed Restaurant and Chef awards, highlighting five Chicago chefs and restaurants, including newcomers Galit and Kumiko. The nominations have stirred excitement and gratitude among the local culinary scene, with Kumiko, a Japanese dining bar in the bustling West Loop neighborhood, earning recognition for Outstanding Bar. Julia Momosé, partner and creative director at Kumiko, expressed her astonishment at the news, emphasizing the team’s dedication to excellence.

The James Beard Awards hold a significant place in the culinary world, symbolizing a pinnacle of achievement within the industry. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the awards, honoring culinary excellence and influencing the landscape of American food culture.
