Chinese Allegedly Involved in “Hostage Situation” As Rumors Swirl

(AbsoluteNews.com) – In 2021, Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai accused former Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli of sexually assaulting her before he retired. She vanished shortly after she made the allegations, leading many to accuse the Chinese Communist Party of making her disappear. The tennis star reappeared during the 2022 Olympic Winter Games and it’s causing a stir.

In a recent interview with French newspaper L’Equipe, Peng said she wanted to set the record straight about the sexual assault allegations she’d made last year. The 36-year-old tennis star claimed it was all a big misunderstanding. She claimed she never said anyone assaulted her and expressed hope that allegations would “no longer be skewed.” The interview was monitored by the Communist Party.

Since then, the press has captured Peng out in public, seeming to have a good time.

Although the tennis star has been spotted in the open, some still think she’s being held hostage by the communists. Marc Ventouillac, one of the two journalists who interviewed Peng told the Associated Press he isn’t sure if the athlete is truly free. Instead, he thinks the Chinese government is parading her around the Olympics and in the press to try to put the story behind them. “It’s a part of communication and propaganda from the Chinese Olympic Committee,” he said.
