(AbsoluteNews.com) – In early April, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made a bizarre remark claiming that the border was “on a good path” under President Joe Biden. She received backlash for the comment from the Right, but one of the most vulnerable representatives on her side of the aisle is now agreeing with her.
On April 15, Rep. Cindy Axne (D-IA) told Iowa Public Radio that she agrees with Pelosi about the border. She believes Biden “wants to tackle” the issue that has “been before us for years.” Meanwhile, the number of immigrants entering the country illegally is surging, border facilities are overrun, and there are allegations of sexual assault in the detention centers.
Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa, is considered one of the more vulnerable Democratic incumbents heading into the 2022 midterm elections.

According to the Epoch Times, Axne’s seat in Iowa is one Republicans are hoping to flip in the 2022 midterms. National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) spokesman Mike Berger said the comments about the border could put her in even more danger of losing her seat in Congress. He explained that although that plays well in San Francisco, “it doesn’t work for Iowa.”
