Destiny 2 Episode Revenant Livestream Breakdown: Everything you need to know about Act 1 and Codename Frontiers!

Seattle, Washington – Destiny 2 fans eagerly tuned in to the developer livestream hosted by Bungie to get a glimpse of what’s in store for the highly anticipated Episode Revenant. The livestream unveiled a plethora of details about the upcoming content drop, set to launch on October 8, 2024.

One of the main highlights of Episode Revenant is the introduction of Potion Crafting, a new system that allows players to craft tonics to enhance their gameplay experience. These tonics come in two varieties: Volatile Tonics, which boost battle prowess and seasonal Artifact perks, and Enriching Tonics, which increase rewards earned from defeating enemies and completing activities.

In addition to Potion Crafting, the Onslaught Salvation mode is getting a significant expansion in Episode Revenant. Players can expect new maps, defenses, and enemy factions like Dark Cabal and Scorn. The mode now offers a power-enabled 10-wave mode, the normal 50-wave mode, and an Expert 50-wave mode for hardcore players.

Furthermore, Bungie revealed the Season Pass exotic weapon for Episode Revenant—a Stasis Primary Ammo Grenade Launcher. This weapon comes with a unique perk, Vestigial Alchemy, which allows players to generate Special or Heavy ammo for themselves and their fireteam.

The livestream also showcased the return of the iconic Ice Breaker sniper rifle in the upcoming Vesper’s Host dungeon. The weapon will retain its classic functionality from Destiny 1 but with a new twist that rewards assists and final blows with other weapons by regenerating ammo for Ice Breaker.

Destiny 2 players can also look forward to the Slayer Baron Apothecary Satchel Artifact, which focuses on enhancing Stasis builds and offers a variety of perks to support different playstyles. Additionally, the Inverted Spire strike is making a comeback in Episode Revenant, along with new Bungie Rewards items for the upcoming Dungeon race for Vesper’s Host.

Looking ahead to the future, Bungie teased details about the upcoming Codename Apollo expansion in 2025, introducing a new destination and expanding on the size and scale of annual expansions for Destiny 2. The developer plans to simplify armor stats next year, aiming for a more streamlined build crafting experience for players.

As Destiny 2 fans eagerly await the release of Episode Revenant, the livestream provided a sneak peek into the exciting content and updates coming to the game in the near future.
