Washington, D.C. – Federal prosecutors in New York have brought criminal charges against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the rapper and music mogul, following a series of civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual abuse, rape, and misconduct. Combs, known for launching the careers of several big stars, was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on Monday evening after federal agents raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami as part of the investigation.
In an indictment unsealed on Tuesday morning, prosecutors allege that Combs and his associates engaged in threatening, abusing, and coercing women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires. The indictment includes accusations of sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice. Combs is specifically accused of forcing victims into engaging in recorded sexual activity, which he referred to as “Freak Offs.”
Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has maintained that his client is innocent and has nothing to hide. Despite the allegations and the ongoing investigation, Agnifilo stated that Combs has been cooperating with federal authorities and voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of the arrest.
The allegations against Combs date back to the 1990s when he founded his record label, Bad Boy Records. Multiple lawsuits have been filed against him by various individuals, including Cassie Ventura, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, Joie Dickerson-Neal, Dawn Richard, and others, accusing him of sexual assault, rape, and misconduct.
The latest lawsuit filed in New York by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleges that he was subjected to unwanted advances by Combs and forced to engage in relations with sex workers hired by Combs. Jones claims that the rapper sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him over a period of more than a year. The lawsuit also implicates Combs in hosting sex-trafficking parties with underage women and illegal drugs.
Despite the mounting allegations and legal battles, Combs has denied all the accusations against him, vowing to fight for his name, his family, and the truth. His attorneys have dismissed the claims as false and attempts to rewrite history for monetary gain.
The criminal charges against Combs mark a significant turn in the ongoing legal saga surrounding the music mogul. As the case unfolds, the public awaits further developments and revelations in a story that has captured widespread attention and controversy in recent months.
