Houston, Texas – Award-winning rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a wave of new allegations of sexual assault as attorney Tony Buzbee prepares to file lawsuits on behalf of 120 accusers. The accusations span over 20 years and allege a range of misconduct including violent sexual assault, rape, and sexual abuse of minors.
At a press conference held on Tuesday, Buzbee vowed to uncover those who enabled Combs’ behavior behind closed doors, promising to pursue justice regardless of who the evidence implicates. The lawyer revealed that his team has collected evidence such as pictures, videos, and texts to support the allegations.
Among the accusers, 62% identify as African American and come from more than 25 states, with a majority from New York, California, Georgia, and Florida. Shockingly, 25 of the accusers were minors at the time of the incidents, dating back as far as 1991. Buzbee claimed that one accuser was as young as nine years old when the alleged incident occurred.
Despite the mounting allegations, Combs’ legal team has vehemently denied the accusations, emphasizing his innocence and asserting that the claims are false and defamatory. Combs is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Buzbee, who has a history of representing victims in high-profile cases, including those against BP and NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson, plans to file lawsuits in various states within the next 30 days. The lawsuits will also name additional defendants linked to the allegations against Combs.
With the legal battle escalating, Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, previously filed a civil suit against him, accusing him of assault and sex trafficking. While Combs settled with Ventura for an undisclosed amount, the release of surveillance footage showing him assaulting her further fueled the legal challenges he faces.
Many of the lawsuits against Combs have been filed in New York City, where victims have the option to file suits alleging sexual abuse even after the statute of limitations has passed. As the case unfolds, the public awaits the legal proceedings to determine the truth behind the allegations against the renowned entertainment mogul.
