Disturbing New Trailer Released for ‘Weapons’ at CinemaCon 2025 – You Won’t Sleep Tonight!

Las Vegas, NV – Film director Zach Cregger unveiled his latest project, “Weapons,” at CinemaCon 2025, showcasing his talent in the horror genre. The Warner Bros. presentation featured an ensemble cast led by actors Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong, and June Diane Raphael.

In “Weapons,” Garner portrays an elementary school teacher who is confronted with a mysterious disappearance of her entire first period class. As the town grapples with the unsettling news, Garner’s character becomes the target of parental and administrative scrutiny. The missing children start appearing to her as ghostly figures with disturbing features, intensifying the eerie atmosphere of the film.

The trailer for “Weapons” teases scenes of children sleepwalking in a possessed manner, adding to the suspense of the narrative. New Line Cinema chief, Richard Brener, described the film as “intriguing and unpredictable, with a nice helping of batshit insane,” hinting at the gripping storytelling that awaits the audience. Cregger himself expressed that the project evolves dynamically, promising a riveting cinematic experience.

Following the success of Cregger’s previous film, “Barbarian,” expectations are high for “Weapons,” especially after it was moved up for an earlier release date. Originally slated for January 2026, the film is now set to premiere in August of the same year, generating anticipation among fans of the horror genre.

“Weapons” will debut shortly after another genre event film, “Together,” which was acquired by Neon at the Sundance Film Festival. The strategic scheduling of these releases indicates a growing interest in innovative and captivating storytelling within the film industry, setting the stage for an exciting cinematic experience for audiences worldwide.
