(AbsoluteNews.com) – When former President Donald Trump left office on January 20, he promised the American people that he was going to continue to be involved in politics. Now he’s keeping that promise and gearing up for the 2022 midterm elections. Trump has issued a number of endorsements lately, including a big one for a politician in Texas.
On May 10, the former president endorsed Dan Patrick (R) for another term. Trump released a statement on his website calling the lieutenant governor a “great fighter” for Texas residents. He explained that Patrick is a staunch defender of “Life, Liberty, the Second Amendment, Border Security, our Military and our Vets, and our God-given Freedoms.”
Patrick thanked Trump for his endorsement on Twitter, saying he was “honored” by the support.
I am honored to have President Trump’s endorsement for my reelection. Over the last five years, he and I have become good friends. Thank you, President Trump for your support. https://t.co/PSMP8HjP4L pic.twitter.com/5BlaqrtuaQ

The lieutenant governor has been one of the former president’s staunchest supporters. He very much believes in the America First agenda and has tried to instill those values in the people of Texas. There’s no doubt he will continue to do that if he wins reelection.
