Donald Trump to Meet With Texas Governor

( – In March, President Joe Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the immigration crisis at the southern border. In the time since then, she has still not made the trip south to see what’s going or given a timeline for exactly when she will make the trip. One person going to go down there to see what’s happening is former President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, June 15, Trump announced he was going to Texas on June 30 to meet with Governor Greg Abbott (R). The former president said he would visit the “decimated” border on his trip. He slammed the Biden administration for handing control of the border “over to cartels, criminals, and coyotes.” He continued, saying those criminals, along with sex traffickers, MS-13 gang members, and others, now have “free reign [sic].” Trump called the administration’s actions a “dereliction of duty.”

In an interview with Fox News that same day, Abbott said Texas is ready to pick up where Trump left off:

The governor plans to continue a border wall to protect residents in his state.

Trump’s trip to Texas will further show just how badly the Biden administration is failing. Perhaps the new president should hire his predecessor to fix the problem, as it seems he and Harris don’t know how to do it.
