(AbsoluteNews.com) – In July, Fox News fired its longtime on-air personality, Ed Henry, after misconduct allegations arose. Later that month, two women filed a lawsuit in civil court, accusing the former anchor of sexual assault and harassment. On October 20, lawyers for the journalist fought back in court.
Henry’s legal team filed a motion in the Southern District of New York asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit. According to his lawyers, his relationship with accuser Jennifer Eckhart was “clearly a consensual relationship.”

Eckhart made a number of claims against Henry, including that he tied her up and assaulted her. However, his attorneys say there are “erotic and encouraging text messages” between the two that prove the relationship was consensual. Eckhart denies this. The court has not set a date to hear the motion to dismiss yet.
