Las Vegas, Nevada – Miroslav “Miro” Barnyashev and his wife, CJ Perry, have made a dramatic return to the world of wrestling, in new deals orchestrated by their agents at Paradigm. The couple made a grand entrance at Netflix’s Monday Night Raw as part of the ongoing festivities for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Barnyashev, previously known as Rusev during his time in WWE, was a formidable force in the ring, earning accolades such as the WWE United States Champion title three times. He had memorable feuds with top-tier wrestlers like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles, showcasing his versatility and charisma. Despite being released in April 2020 during talent cuts, he continued to make an impact in the wrestling world.
Transitioning to AEW in 2020 as Miro, Barnyashev further solidified his reputation, capturing the AEW TNT Championship in 2021 and becoming known for his intense in-ring performances. His departure from AEW in 2023 marked the end of a successful chapter in his career.
CJ Perry, who first appeared in WWE in 2013 as Lana, played a crucial role in Rusev’s early dominance in the ring. After leaving WWE in 2021, she joined AEW in 2023, managing Miro and participating in various storylines. Perry’s return to WWE under a Legends Deal signifies a new chapter for her in the wrestling world.
The couple’s enduring partnership extends beyond the wrestling ring, as they are set to star in the action comedy feature, Guns Up, alongside Kevin James. Their return to WWE under new deals signals a bold move towards reclaiming the spotlight and pursuing their ultimate goal of becoming World Champions. With the support of Paradigm, the Barnyashevses are ready to make their mark once again.
