(AbsoluteNews.com) – Every 9/11 anniversary is awful, but this year will be especially somber. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks in history on American soil. Many victims’ families are now demanding President Joe Biden give them answers they’re seeking or stay away from the events that day.
On Friday, August 6, the families released a statement demanding Biden keep his promise to declassify documents related to Saudi Arabia’s role in the 9/11 attacks. The president made a promise to provide the families with answers during the 2020 campaign and now they’re calling on him to keep his word.
@POTUS should release ALL 9/11 Commission documents. If some are uncomplimentary to the Saudis so be it. This is a promise made. Now it needs to be a promise kept, before the anniversary of 9/11.

The families said they couldn’t allow the president to visit the “hallowed grounds [of the attacks] until he fulfills his commitment.” They went on to say 20 years is too long for the government to withhold information about whether Saudi Arabia helped finance the attacks. For years, rumors have swirled accusing the US ally of helping the terrorists murder the thousands who died that fateful day. The Saudi government has denied the allegations.
The 9/11 families explained that if the president reneges on his promise, he won’t be welcome at any memorial event. The White House hasn’t indicated what Biden plans to do.
