(AbsoluteNews.com) – In the summer of 2020, as riots raged across the country, a Florida gym owner Mike Carnevale was arrested three times for not forcing his clients to wear masks. On Wednesday, May 12, Mike, along with his wife Jillian who had also reportedly been arrested at some point, spoke to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham about their arrests. During the interview, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) called the arrests “total overreach” and he did something to ensure it never happened again.
DeSantis announced that not only were Mike and Jillian going to receive pardons, but so would every other business owner in the state who’s facing similar charges. He said, “we’ll issue pardons for any Floridian” who has infractions for not following mask and social-distancing recommendations.

Many people have praised DeSantis for the way he’s handled the COVID-19 pandemic. The governor didn’t issue prolonged shutdowns like many states and was able to keep his economy running. Now, he’s proving that the residents in his state have his full support.
