Families at Chuck E. Cheese in Brandon Florida probably weren’t expecting to see gunfire and a vehicle crash Saturday evening.

A vehicle crashed into the children’s entertainment venue moments after shots were fired outside Chuck E. Cheese.

Just before 5 p.m., deputies received calls about gunshots at Chuck E. Cheese.

An altercation led to a private security guard removing a crowd from Chuck E. Cheese, according to The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). The guard was relocating them when a woman pulled a gun outside the entertainment center.

When the security guard tried to take it from her, she dropped the gun and another woman picked it up and fired at least one shot. A third woman took the gun and placed it in a car after the second woman fired the weapon in the air.

All three women were taken into custody. Additionally, a male suspect was taken into custody for his involvement in the altercation.

HCSO says there is no evidence of anyone being shot during the incident.

During this altercation, a white Audi crashed into Chuck E. Cheese. A juvenile and two women were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A male driver was also taken to the hospital. At this time, we do not know what role he played.

“I am grateful that no one was seriously injured as a result of this incident,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We were able to quickly track down those responsible and take them into custody as the investigation into today’s events continues thanks to the swift and considerable response of our deputies.”

Chuck E. Cheese also released this statement:
