Hezbollah Strikes Israel: Leader Warns of Future Attacks as Tensions Rise

Beirut, Lebanon – Hezbollah’s recent attack on Israel, in retaliation for the assassination of its senior military official, Fu’ad Shukr, has raised concerns about potential future strikes. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah announced in a televised speech on Sunday that the group’s latest attack has been completed, but hinted at the possibility of further actions.

Nasrallah explained that the delay in their response was intentional, allowing time for Gaza ceasefire negotiations and creating strain within Israel. The attack was strategically planned, targeting military infrastructure while avoiding civilian casualties, with specific focus on Israel’s Glilot Military Base and Ein Shemer Airfield.

During the attack, Hezbollah planned to launch 300 Soviet-era Katyusha rockets to disrupt Israel’s defense systems. Nasrallah also praised the patience and courage of residents in southern Lebanon, who endured much of the impact from Israel’s retaliatory strikes.

In response to the situation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that the conflict may not be over yet, indicating a potential for further escalation. Despite the heated rhetoric from both sides, it seems that they have stepped back from the brink of a broader regional conflict for the time being.
