Jacob Elordi stars in new WWII drama – U.S. premiere in four days with Prime Video!

Los Angeles, California – The upcoming series “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” starring Jacob Elordi, has secured its U.S. distributor. Prime Video has acquired the rights to the limited series, directed by Justin Kurzel, for release in the United States. The show is set to debut in four days’ time.

Adapted from the 2014 Booker Prize-winning novel by Richard Flanagan, the Australian drama centers around Lieutenant-Colonel Dorrigo Evans, portrayed by Elordi, a World War II hero grappling with haunting memories from a Japanese prisoner of war camp. The narrative also delves into his tumultuous affair with Amy Mulvaney, played by Odessa Young, which served as a source of solace during his darkest days.

Written by Shaun Grant and featuring a stellar cast including CiarĂ¡n Hinds, Olivia DeJonge, Simon Baker, Sho Kasamatsu, Heather Mitchell, and Thomas Weatherall, the series has been highly anticipated. It has already been acquired by various regions, such as the BBC in the UK and Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

“The Narrow Road to the Deep North” made its debut at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, where Elordi discussed his intense physical transformation for the role. The series has garnered attention for its powerful storytelling and compelling performances, drawing praise from audiences and critics alike. With its imminent release in the U.S., viewers can expect a riveting and emotional journey through the complexities of wartime experiences and personal relationships.
