Jimmy Butler’s MRI Results Revealed After Hard Fall – Will He Play in Game 3?

Houston, Texas – Golden State Warriors’ star Jimmy Butler was forced to leave the game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night after sustaining a pelvis contusion following a hard fall on a foul by Amen Thompson. The injury occurred in the first quarter, leading to Butler’s absence for the remainder of the match. Coach Steve Kerr expressed uncertainty about Butler’s availability for Game 3 on Saturday as the player is set to undergo an MRI exam on Thursday.

Kerr emphasized that Butler’s health is the main priority, stating that they will need to await the results of the MRI before determining his status for the upcoming game. The incident that caused Butler’s injury occurred when Thompson was pushed into his legs during a rebound attempt, resulting in a collision that sent both players to the ground. Despite initially getting up to shoot free throws, Butler was eventually taken out of the game and escorted to the locker room for further evaluation.

Regarding the play that led to Butler’s injury, Kerr defended Thompson, stating that there was no malicious intent involved, and described it as a typical basketball accident. Butler, who had made significant contributions in Game 1 with 25 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, had to exit the game with only three points and two rebounds before his departure.

As the Warriors prepare for Game 3, Kerr acknowledged the possibility of Butler’s absence and emphasized the importance of having alternative plans in place. Additionally, it was revealed that another Warriors player, Brandin Podziemski, faced challenges in the game due to a stomach ailment that required IV treatment at halftime. Podziemski, who had missed a portion of the first half, returned to the court in the third quarter, showcasing his determination to contribute to the team’s performance.

The Warriors are hopeful for Butler’s swift recovery but are prepared to adapt to any lineup changes that may arise. The team remains focused on regaining momentum in the series as they face the Rockets in the upcoming game.
