(AbsoluteNews.com) – When President Joe Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law he approved a provision that allocated federal aid to farmers based on race. In May, the US 6th Circuit Appeals Court issued a 2-1 ruling to block the administration from enforcing its discriminatory rule. Now, the president is being sued again by a Tennessee farmer.
Two legal foundations filed a lawsuit on behalf of Union City farmer Robert Holman. According to the lawsuit, the Biden administration is discriminating against him because a federal loan forgiveness program is only available to “non-whites” through the American Rescue Plan. The law only allows up to 120% forgiveness on loans taken out by “socially disadvantaged” farmers. The government defines those farmers as people who are “Black, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Hispanic, or Asian, or Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.”

In 2016, Holman took out a loan of $40,000 to purchase farm equipment. Two years later, he took out a $37,000 loan to help pay for a planter. He still owes $17,667 and $21,744 respectively. He’d like to apply for forgiveness, but the current law prevents him from receiving it because he’s white.
In America, all people are supposed to be treated equally. Biden’s policies do the opposite of that and discriminate against hardworking people.
