(AbsoluteNews.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris was vocally opposed to the Supreme Court confirmation of conservative Brett Kavanaugh in 2018. The then-senator viciously attacked him during the hearings and falsely accused him of mistreating women when there was no proof. However, three years later, when a prominent member of her own party is facing allegations from multiple women, she seems to have forgotten the #MeToo movement.
As of March 9, Harris hasn’t said a word about the sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D). The once vocal defender of women seems to have forgotten how to defend women, instead, choosing to remain silent. This is markedly different from her behavior during the Kavanaugh confirmation.
The Democratic Party has tried to paint itself as the party of women over the last decade or so, and politicians, including Harris, have been quick to attack conservative men when there are allegations against them. However, when it’s one of their own facing similar allegations, they soon forget that hollow “believe women” mantra they like to repeat so often. Their silence in times like these should prove what they really stand for: power.
