LA resident has dog stolen at gunpoint

LOS ANGELES, CA – A Los Angeles resident has made a heartfelt appeal for the return of his French Bulldog, Jennifer, who was stolen at gunpoint during a routine evening walk. Mario Felix and his wife were in their Montebello neighborhood on Sunday night when an armed assailant confronted them, demanding Felix’s watch, wallet, phone, and dog.

The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. when Felix, momentarily distracted, was approached by the thief. “He passed me, made a U-turn, and then pulled out a gun,” Felix recounted. “I handed over everything except my dog, but he insisted, and when he moved the gun closer, I had no choice but to give Jennifer up.”

Felix described the experience as terrifying and unexpected, especially in a neighborhood known for its safety. “It’s just the world we live in now. Our area is usually very safe, and our neighbors are shocked. Nothing like this has happened here before,” he said.

Montebello Police responded swiftly, arriving within a minute, but the suspect had already fled with Jennifer. The French Bulldog requires special food and medication, raising concerns about her well-being if she isn’t found soon.

Felix is pleading for Jennifer’s safe return, emphasizing the bond they share. “We just want our dog back. She needs us, and we need her. It’s hard being without her, and we’re begging the public to help us.”

The emotional plea underscores the distress and urgency felt by the family, hoping that someone will come forward with information leading to Jennifer’s return.
