Houston, Texas – Over 100 men and women have sought legal representation to file civil suits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee. Buzbee, during a press conference, stated that his firm, The Buzbee Law Firm, along with the AVA Law Group, have been retained by at least 120 individuals who claim to have been victimized by Combs and others.
The allegations against Combs range from violent sexual assault and rape to sexual abuse, facilitating sex with controlled substances, false imprisonment, compelling prostitution, sexual misconduct, dissemination of video recordings, and sexual abuse of minors. Combs, a musician and businessman, has already been indicted on federal charges, including sex trafficking, and has pleaded not guilty.
Of the 120 individuals represented, half are men and half are women, with 25 of them being minors at the time of the alleged incidents. The incidents are said to have taken place in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami during parties and music industry-related auditions. Combs has fiercely denied all claims of sexual abuse, including those involving minors.
The legal team representing Combs emphasized that they cannot address every allegation due to the sensationalizing of the case in the media. Erica Wolff, an attorney for Combs, expressed his client’s denial of the accusations and his readiness to prove his innocence in court based on evidence.
The suits are expected to be filed within the next 30 days, with each case being handled individually and filed in various states. Buzbee mentioned that parties other than Combs might also be named as defendants based on the evidence gathered. Since November, Combs has faced 12 civil suits, mostly alleging sexual assault, with some already settled.
Currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting trial on criminal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, Combs is seeking release as he awaits trial. The investigation into the allegations remains active, with federal authorities meeting with accusers during a thorough investigation. Searches at Combs’ residences in Los Angeles and Miami have been conducted by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
As the legal battle progresses, Combs continues to deny the allegations and look toward establishing his innocence in a court of law.
