(AbsoluteNews.com) – Politicians on both sides of the aisle continue to criticize President Joe Biden for the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal. On August 26, an ISIS-K attack left 13 American military members and more than 150 Afghan civilians dead. A few days after the attack, a Republican senator issued a dire warning.
During an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) criticized the president for the way he withdrew from Afghanistan. He said the US left behind American citizens and Afghan allies. The senator also predicted, “the parade of horribles are about to unfold.” He went on to say, “The chance of another 9/11 just went through the roof.”

The day after Graham’s interview, the US announced the end of Operation Enduring Freedom. The last US plane departed Kabul airport with one minute to spare before the August 31 deadline. Reports indicate around 200 Americans are still in the country. Many of those citizens are now in fear of their lives.
The Pentagon has said it will still be working to get Americans out of the Middle Eastern country but people are skeptical. How is the US supposed to help them now that we’re no longer in the country when we couldn’t even help them while we were there?
The Taliban celebrated the US departure by firing live rounds into the air. There are already reports of house-to-house executions.
