Other notable winners include “Joker: Folie à Deux” and “Unfrosted,” each claiming two Razzies. Stars Jerry Seinfeld and Amy Schumer of the latter were recipients, while Francis Ford Coppola was named Worst Director for “Megalopolis,” with Jon Voight also winning Worst Supporting Actor for the same film.
Despite the recognition, acknowledged as a “victory” on Instagram, five-time Oscar winner Coppola expressed his defiance against the industry’s fear of risk-taking. He stated, “In this wreck of a world today, where ART is given scores as if it were professional wrestling, I chose to NOT follow the gutless rules laid down…”
Furthermore, “Joker: Folie à Deux” stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga were awarded Worst Screen Couple at the Razzies. On a more positive note, Pamela Anderson received the Razzie Redeemer prize for her performance in “The Last Showgirl,” a far cry from her previous recognition as Worst New Star in 1996.
