Man accused of gruesome murder of relative, fleeing with head

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – A man from California, distinguishable by a “420” tattoo on his head, was seized by police in San Francisco on Saturday morning. He is suspected of gruesomely beheading a female family member and potentially escaping with her head, as per law enforcement reports.

The suspect, 24-year-old Luis Aroyo-Lopez, had been evading capture since the decapitated body of a woman was found in a Santa Rosa home on Thursday. The police have not yet revealed the specifics of his arrest.

The gruesome discovery was made when Santa Rosa police officers responded to a potential homicide call at a residence on Pomo Trail. The officers found a decapitated woman, her head missing from the scene.

Aroyo-Lopez, a Santa Rosa resident, was identified as a family member of the victim. He is suspected to have committed the murder before fleeing the scene.

Aroyo-Lopez, who has a “420” and marijuana leaf tattoo on his head, was recently released from state prison. His criminal record includes charges of assault with a deadly weapon and weapons possession. He was suspected of leaving the scene with the victim’s head.

The victim was identified as Aroyo-Lopez’s grandmother by family members. However, it remains unclear whether the victim’s head was found following Aroyo-Lopez’s arrest in San Francisco.

Aroyo-Lopez’s criminal history includes violent crimes, such as assault with a deadly weapon and weapons possession. These charges were not related to the current homicide case. After his recent release from prison, he was under post-release community supervision, police reported.

Further details about the homicide and Aroyo-Lopez’s arrest are yet to be released. Authorities have promised to share more information in due course.
