Man accused of murdering a woman at a fancy resort

KEY LARGO, FL – The tranquility of a luxury waterfront resort in Key Largo was shattered this week when the body of a woman was discovered in one of its rooms. The grim find has left the community on edge as authorities moved swiftly to apprehend a suspect.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Amore Dive Resort on Monday, where they discovered the body of 43-year-old Nadine Marie Tillman. Her death was classified as a homicide, and within 24 hours, they had a suspect in custody. Dylan Lamb, a 33-year-old local resident, was arrested and charged with Tillman’s murder.

According to investigators, Tillman and Lamb met at the resort on Saturday morning, but the details of their encounter remain unclear. The investigation was prompted by a concerned family member who reported Tillman missing after her daughter failed to make contact with her for several days.

The search for Tillman led her daughter to the resort, where she tracked her mother’s phone and found her car parked on the premises. Unfortunately, her worst fears were confirmed when deputies discovered her mother’s body in Lamb’s room. Tillman had suffered injuries consistent with a violent assault.

Witnesses reported seeing a red SUV at the scene, which was subsequently surrounded by crime scene tape. However, it remains uncertain if the vehicle belonged to Tillman or played any role in the incident. Residents and guests at the resort, while shaken by the event, maintain that such occurrences are rare in their community.

Lamb has a criminal history, including charges of grand theft, battery, and probation violations. He now faces a murder charge in connection with Tillman’s death. The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy.

The Amore Dive Resort, known for its serene setting, has been left reeling in the wake of the incident. Residents expressed their shock, noting that while the resort is typically considered a safe haven, such events can happen anywhere.

As the community grapples with the loss and the ongoing investigation, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the case.
