Man Convicted For Stabbing His Girlfriend And Two Babies To Death

An Orange County man was convicted Wednesday of stabbing his girlfriend to death and killing her two infant sons, whose bodies have never been recovered.

As soon as he is sentenced in February, Shazer Fernando Limas, 42, of Orange, could be facing life without parole for three counts of first-degree murder.

In April 2012, Limas stabbed 31-year-old Arlet Hernandez Contreras 48 times following an argument, the district attorney’s office in Orange County said.

The prosecution claims he then killed Fernando Hernandez Limas, 16 months, and Emanuel Hernandez Limas, 2 months.

The DA’s office said Limas, who also had another girlfriend, “let the bodies of Conteras and boys rot in a balcony closet for 10 days while going to dance clubs, renting limousines, and having friends over.”

According to prosecutors, Limas bleached blood stains from his carpet before loading Contreras’s body into a chest and transporting it to an industrial area of Los Angeles County, where her body was dumped in a gutter.

Prosecutors believe Limas drove another 100 miles after disposing of the first body to dispose of the bodies of the children.

“In a statement, District Attorney Todd Spitzer said that the man killed his entire family and threw them away like trash.

His apartment lease was broken a few days later by Limas.

“The apartment’s management contacted the Orange Police Department after workers reported a suspicious smell, blood spatter on walls and pools of blood under bleached carpet,” the DA said.

In the course of two freeway chases, Limas was arrested.
