Late Sunday night, a domestic dispute turned fatal inside a townhome near 99th Avenue and Indian School Road, resulting in the deaths of a husband and wife and critically injuring their young child.
Phoenix police are actively investigating the circumstances that led 38-year-old Andrew Correa to fatally shoot his wife, Ashley, before turning the gun on himself. Their three-year-old son, who was also shot in the altercation, remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Authorities have confirmed that the child has been stabilized, offering a glimmer of hope amid the tragedy.
Neighbors reported hearing a series of loud bangs and screams before gunshots echoed through the normally serene Avia Gateway townhomes in West Phoenix. Earlier that day, surveillance cameras had captured Andrew Correa walking past the camera multiple times, and later, the couple was seen leaving their home in football jerseys, seemingly unaware of the tragedy that would soon unfold.
