Austin, Texas – Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves’ eldest son, Levi McConaughey, made a rare appearance with his famous parents at the South by Southwest film festival. The 16-year-old looked mature and stylish as he joined his parents at the premiere of “Rivals of Amziah King” on Monday.
Levi stood out in a patterned, maroon button-down shirt, tan chinos, and a black bomber jacket, while Matthew and Alves donned black suits for the occasion. This family outing was a unique opportunity to see the whole family together, as they usually keep their children out of the public eye.
The talented teenager has already ventured into the entertainment industry by landing his first acting role in “Way of the Warrior Kid,” alongside actor Chris Pratt. In the film, which is based on a coming-of-age book by Jocko Willink, Levi plays a bullied teen who learns to find his inner warrior with the help of his uncle, an elite Navy SEAL.
Despite not being directly involved in the project, Matthew seemed to provide guidance and support to his son during filming. In a video from October 2024, the Oscar winner could be seen giving Levi a pep talk on a beach in San Diego before a scene.
Matthew has expressed his desire for his children to pursue their passions, even if it means entering the entertainment industry.
