
(AbsoluteNews.com) – In February, Dominion Voting Systems filed a $1.3-billion lawsuit against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and his company for defamation. The businessman isn’t just rolling over though, he’s fighting back.
On Monday, April 19, Lindell announced he was filing a $1.6-billion countersuit against Dominion. He said his case is about free speech. In the lawsuit, filed in Minnesota, the businessman accuses Dominion of an “illegal campaign to punish and silence their critics.” MyPillow lawyer Andrew Parker says the suit was filed to “remedy the grave harm” that the pillow company suffered as a result of Dominion’s “attacks.”

MyPillow also filed a motion to dismiss the Dominion suit against it. Lindell argues his comments were his own and had nothing to do with his company. Lawyers for Dominion called the CEO’s lawsuit against them “meritless.”
