FONTANA, CA – A shocking crime has left the Fontana community reeling after a 38-year-old mother was found stabbed to death in her apartment. Authorities have identified the victim as Rachel Lopez, a vibrant and outgoing woman whose life was tragically cut short. Police have apprehended a suspect, Luis Cervera, 43, a custodian at the same apartment complex where Lopez worked as a property manager.
The horrifying discovery was made early Saturday morning when Lopez’s roommate found her bleeding on the floor of their apartment. Lopez had been living at the Orchard Apartments in Fontana for the past five months, managing the property where Cervera also worked.
