(AbsoluteNews.com) – On March 1, President Joe Biden gave his first State of the Union Address. His poll numbers dropped in the days leading up to the speech. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) thinks she knows the reason why that is, but the American people probably won’t like what she had to say.
According to a Morning Consult/POLITICO poll taken February 25-27, only 33% of respondents believe the country is going in the right direction. Just 41% said they approve of the job Biden is doing. Before the State of the Union Address, Pelosi spoke to MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell about the president.
When Mitchell asked the Speaker why she thinks Biden’s poll numbers are declining, Pelosi didn’t mention the president’s failures, instead, she claimed Americans just don’t know what he’s doing. She said people can’t appreciate “what the president has done” until they “know what it is” he has done.

Biden’s poll numbers aren’t sinking because Americans don’t know what he has done. They are sinking because they do know what he’s done and hasn’t done. The people remember watching the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. They also know they’re paying more at the grocery store, more for gas and utilities, more for rent, and nearly everything else. They also know the situation with Russia and Ukraine could have been handled differently. That is why his approval ratings are declining. Maybe Pelosi needs to take a lesson herself.
