BARBATE, Spain – Julian Ortega, a Spanish actor known for his role in the popular Netflix series “Elite,” has tragically passed away at the age of 41. The actor suffered a cardiac arrest on Zahora Beach in Barbate, Spain, leading to his untimely death.
Ortega’s sudden passing has shocked fans and fellow actors, as tributes pour in on his Instagram account. His final post, shared on March 19, paid homage to his work on a show that evidently held great significance to him.
Best recognized for his role in “Elite,” a Spanish teen drama series that garnered immense popularity on Netflix, Ortega made a lasting impression with his portrayal as the manager of the restaurant La Cabaña. The show, spanning eight seasons from 2018 to 2024, captivated audiences with its portrayal of wealthy and privileged teenagers in an elite high school setting.
Aside from “Elite,” Ortega’s acting credits include appearances in various Spanish shows such as “4 estrellas,” “The Countryside,” “Caronte,” “Untameable,” and “La sue se avecina.” He also completed work on the upcoming film “Trompeta” prior to his unfortunate demise.
Notably, Ortega’s mother, Gloria Munoz, is also a well-known actor with an impressive body of work in films and television shows.
