(AbsoluteNews.com) – On May 19, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow dedicated a segment of her show to former National Security Adviser Susan Rice’s Inauguration Day email. The progressive television host was sure the former Obama Administration official’s note to herself cleared everyone involved. Others on the Left think the same thing. However, former US Attorney Brett Tolman disagrees.
The controversy surrounding Rice centers around an email she sent on Inauguration Day where she notes what happened during an Oval Office meeting on January 5, 2017. The meeting was about whether to share info with retired General Michael Flynn after Obama officials listened in on his calls and heard him speaking to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
During a May 20 interview with Fox & Friends, Tolman said Rice’s email proves the Obama Administration was spying on the incoming Trump team. He went on to say she only sent it to “try to justify” their actions.

Nobody knows the real reason Rice sent the email. What happened between January 5 and Inauguration Day is a mystery. What we do know is it doesn’t exonerate the Obama Administration, no matter how much Maddow and others want to think otherwise. In fact, it makes them look even more guilty.
