Nintendo: Streamer EveryGameGuru Slapped with Lawsuit for Pirating and Streaming Games Pre-Release – Shocking Details Inside

Tokyo, Japan – Nintendo has taken legal action against a streamer known as EveryGameGuru, alleging that he has been streaming unauthorized gameplay of unreleased games and providing access to illegal ROM copies and piracy tools. The lawsuit claims that EveryGameGuru live streams himself playing games on various platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and others, often with minimal commentary. Since 2022, it is reported that EveryGameGuru has streamed gameplays of at least 10 different titles before their official release date on approximately 50 occasions.

Among the games streamed by EveryGameGuru before their release date include titles such as Mario & Luigi: Brothership, The Legends of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Not only did EveryGameGuru allegedly stream these games prematurely, but Nintendo also accuses him of linking viewers to piracy tools through screenshots in his posts. These tools include Nintendo Switch emulators and websites distributing game ROMs, along with instructions on how to play illegally downloaded ROMs.

Additionally, Nintendo claims that EveryGameGuru has created multiple accounts on different platforms after his previous ones were disabled for copyright infringement. Despite Nintendo’s efforts to take down his videos, EveryGameGuru reportedly continued live streaming on platforms like Loco and even included a QR code for donations during his streams. The company revealed that EveryGameGuru had sent them an email boasting that he could create numerous burner channels and evade their efforts to stop his unauthorized streams.

In response to these actions, Nintendo is seeking $150,000 in damages per copyright violation. With EveryGameGuru accused of illegally streaming at least 10 games on at least 50 occasions, the total damages sought by Nintendo could amount to millions. The company is cracking down on these streaming violations to protect its intellectual property and prevent the spread of piracy within the gaming community. This lawsuit serves as a warning to others who may attempt to engage in similar activities without proper authorization.
