Chicago, Illinois – In the debut episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network, new details and backstage news have emerged. The internal run sheet for the show lists segments leading up to tonight’s main event, including “shorts” before the WWE NXT World Championship match and another after the opening bout for the WWE NXT Women’s World Championship.
Sources report a chaotic scene behind-the-scenes as the debut of WWE NXT on The CW Network approached. Just before the show started, revised internal run sheets were distributed to the crew.
At the AllState Arena event, a dark match is scheduled between Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of The O.C. and Tank Ledger & Hank Walker. Each match on the show is allocated at least two segments, following a different format than the weekly WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown shows.
In an interesting development, WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan is set to provide special guest commentary during a women’s tag-team match. The show is expected to run smoothly without overruns, concluding right at the 10 o’clock hour each Tuesday night.
Rehearsals for the event primarily took place backstage at the AllState Arena, with matches later practicing in the actual ring. Referees have been assigned to specific matches, including NXT Title bouts and a Street Fight.
