One shot and several stabbed in a large brawl at lake front park

NAPA COUNTY, CA. – A fatal shooting and multiple stabbings disrupted the tranquility of Lake Berryessa on Saturday, leaving one man dead and several others injured. The Napa County Sheriff’s Office reported that the violent altercation erupted around 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Shores Day Use area, a popular spot on the lake’s western shore.

The melee resulted in two stabbing victims being airlifted to local hospitals. While one has since been discharged, the other remains hospitalized with their condition currently unknown. Several other individuals involved in the fight sought medical attention on their own.

Authorities have yet to make any arrests or determine the cause of the brawl. The investigation is concentrated in the parking lot near Knoxville Road, where more than 20 officers, deputies, and detectives from various agencies are actively working the scene.

Witnesses are being interviewed, and the California Highway Patrol’s Golden Gate Division dispatched a helicopter to provide medical assistance. The Oak Shores Day Use area, approximately an hour and a half’s drive from Sacramento, is now a focal point for law enforcement.
