Patriots Among Us

Patriots Among Us

(AbsoluteNews.com) – As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our country, we should take some time to look around and find the patriots among us. These are people who love their country so much they carry out small, but significant acts to show it. Hopefully, they’ll motivate someone out there to do the same.

Soccer Player Stands Up for Old Glory

National Women’s Soccer Player, Rachel Hill, did not take a knee during the national anthem when the league began its season. She stood next to her kneeling Chicago Red Stars teammates and placed her hand over her heart.

When Hill was asked why she chose to stand, the young woman said that while she supports her teammates’ right to kneel, she couldn’t do it because “of what the flag inherently means…” to her military family.

It’s nice to see such a bright star refusing to be pressured into doing something she doesn’t believe in.

Saluting the Flag During a Walk

Every day Donald Bronson, 88, takes a 2-mile walk through his Rutherford, Pennsylvania neighborhood. As he gets his daily exercise, he takes the time to salute American flags on his route — that’s 10 flags each day.

Mr. Bronson joined the military when he was 16, and served 2 tours in Vietnam and 2 in Korea. He was a paratrooper with the elite 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions and retired 18 years later as a first sergeant. All these years later, he still takes time out of his day to salute the flag of the country he loves.

Little Girl Takes Action

Serving her community is something this little girl has learned early. Briella Schweitzer, 8, opened her lemonade stand 2 years ago in Lincoln, Nebraska and she’s been raising money for worthy causes ever since.

In 2019, Briella donated $100 to St. Jude and the ASPCA. This year, she’s focusing on the Alzheimer’s Association and Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue.

What’s more patriotic than a person who helps their community?

Everyone we mentioned is an inspiration to the rest of us. Hopefully, we can all do a little bit every day to show our country how much we love it.

You Deserve the Absolute Truth!
