(AbsoluteNews.com) – Democrats managed to hang onto their majority in the House on Tuesday, November 3. However, the party wasn’t able to keep all of its seats. Republicans swooped in and reduced Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) hopes.
Pelosi went into the election with 232 seats compared to the GOP’s 197. She expected to win more districts and add to her majority, but it looks as though voters in roughly 10 races rejected the Left’s hopes.

Some of the seats the Left lost are seats they flipped in 2018. They did have some wins, however. All of the members of “The Squad,” including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), held on to their jobs. However, the losses spoke volumes.
The Democratic Party is moving farther to the Left. There’s been talk of defunding the police as violent protests grip cities across America. Millions of dollars were spent to hold onto those formerly red states, and Pelosi failed. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens two years from now. Will she lose her majority completely?
