Pelosi Says House Close to Reaching Deal on COVID-19 Relief

(AbsoluteNews.com) – At the end of July, the enhanced unemployment benefits for American workers expired. Congress’ negotiations on a new stimulus package stalled for months, until recently. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is now indicating Democrats in the House are finally taking it seriously…or, are they?

On Sunday, October 4, Pelosi told “Face the Nation,” lawmakers are “making progress” on a new package. She then rewrote history and blamed the stalled negotiations on Republicans because taking responsibility is hard.

The American people are supposed to believe the Democrats have suddenly decided passing a relief package is important even though they already adjourned for their October recess. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) pointed out the absurdity of their action.

Negotiations stalled months ago, after the Left refused to compromise with Republicans. As recently as last Thursday, the House passed a bill that every single member of the GOP refused to approve because Democrats still wanted too much money ($2.2 trillion). It looks like Pelosi is talking out of both sides of her mouth again.
