As the storms progressed southward into Arkansas, reports of possible tornadoes in Franklin and Van Buren emerged, resulting in considerable destruction to homes. The devastation continued in Mississippi, where Grenada County faced extensive damage following a tornado warning. Urgent tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for several states, including Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, and Texas as the night unfolded.
