Police Raid Democratic Mayor's Home

(AbsoluteNews.com) – Rochester, New York Mayor Lovely Warren (D) has had a rocky year as her city has been shaken by protests against the police. In 2020, police indicted her for breaking campaign finance laws. She has also been named in a federal civil rights lawsuit. Most recently, police raided her home.

On Wednesday, May 19, state troopers searched Warren’s home and detained her husband, Timothy Granison who was part of their investigation. Law enforcement reportedly seized two guns and a “large quantity” of cocaine. Prosecutors charged Gransion with weapons and drug charges. They allege he is part of a cocaine distribution ring. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Warren is separated from her husband, but they claim they live together so they can co-parent. She believes the arrest is politically motivated, saying the fact that it’s “three weeks before early voting” begins is “highly suspicious.” Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley denies politics has anything to do with the investigation.
