(AbsoluteNews.com) – Russia invaded Ukraine more than a month ago, putting tens of thousands of civilians and troops in danger. Recent reports indicate the Russian military’s death toll passed 7,000 but the Kremlin only has it listed at 1,351. It seems President Vladimir Putin plans to replenish his forces with fresh new faces.
On March 31, Putin signed an order to force 134,500 conscripts to join the military. The soldiers are between the ages of 18 and 27. The Russian conscription, essentially a draft, runs from April 1 to July 15.
Putin’s decree of the day: Spring conscription into the Russian army will run from April 1st- July 15th. Russia intends to call 134,500 men aged 18-27 for military service. At the start of the war, Putin denied that any conscripts were involved. What a difference a month makes. https://t.co/1suSp0elzY

The country’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu promised none of the new military members will be deployed to “hot spots.” However, if the country is lying about its death toll, how can people believe their promises about keeping the conscripts out of Ukraine? According to Axios, at the beginning of March, Putin promised new soldiers they would not be participating in the war. But the Russian Defense Ministry has contradicted the president.
Putin’s regime has been negotiating a peace deal with Ukraine. So far, there haven’t been any breakthroughs, but there’s still hope the senseless conflict will come to an end soon in spite of his recent order to induct a massive number of new troops.
Do you believe Russia when it claims the conscripts won’t be sent to Ukraine?
